Zumbathon Charity Event
Miss UAB Elisabeth Chramer and other local Zumba instructors will be leading a Zumba party to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. The event will be held March 6, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the UAB Campus Recreation Center. The doors will open at 5:00 PM. Admission to the event is a donation. A recommended donation is five dollars. Donate however much you would like! If you donate ten dollars or more, you win a belly dance hip scarf/jingle skirt (while supplies last).
Salsarita’s restaurant is catering the event and will be providing dinner at 7:30 PM. The event is open to the public and you do not need to be a member of the UAB Campus Recreation Center to get in.
This is going to be an awesome event that you will not want to miss out on! It benefits a really great cause!
What is Zumba?
Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive.
Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has grown to become the world’s largest – and most successful – dance-fitness program with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking weekly Zumba classes in over 110,000 locations across more than 125 countries.
