UAB’s Theatre Department Presents: 10 Minute Plays
Looking for a cheap date?
I’m not offering myself up, but if you’re looking for somewhere to take the love in your life and the economy’s got your wallet running for cover, you may want to consider UAB Theatre Department’s Ten-Minute Play Festival. The festival is this week, September 24th-27th.
For the low, low price of $3 you and your guest will fly round trip through 8 shows all centered around the theme “Love Gone Wrong”. … so maybe you don’t want to take your lover. Maybe you should take your ex instead. Or maybe use the plays as a tool to make your lover your ex. It’s up to you!
Regardless, these short plays were all written by the members of the UAB playwriting program. The fresh, live nature of these plays makes them exciting and unpredictable: the perfect break from the Family Guy reruns you’ve been watching all semester.
If you’re interested, the shows will be at 7:30pm Thursday-Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday in the Odess Theater of the Alys Stephens Center. Tickets are available at the box office of the Alys Stephens Center.
