UAB Theatre Presents: Lysistrata

UAB theatre department is celebrating! After 40 year of always plays and performances, the theatre department has decided to bring back one of the plays that got our theatre program running.

Lysistrata is a pretty old play, but this has version has a modern-day twist. The core of this story deals with a battle of the sexes. While the men are off making war, the women decide to help bring the senseless fighting to a halt by refusing to have sex till the men finally quit fighting. (Umm…Why haven’t we tried this yet?)

The show will run from Wednesday till Sunday over in the Sirote Theatre in the Alys Stephens Center. Student Tickets are $6 and worth every penny. Here are the show times:

Wednesday, February 16: 7:30pm

Thursday, February 17: 7:30pm

Friday, February 18: 7:30pm

Saturday, February 19: 7:30pm

Sunday, February 20: 2:00pm
