UAB: Forty Years of Breakthroughs

Yup. UAB is forty.

After forty years of medical breakthroughs, billions of dollars of economic stimulus, thousands of college graduates and too many accolades to count, UAB is just hitting its stride.

To celebrate, administration is proud to unveil the inaugural University Day to be held Thursday, September 24 at 9:30am in the Alys Stephens Center. The ceremony, led by President Garrison and Provost Capilouto, will feature one graduate from 1969-2009.

It’s a big deal. We’re a young school and building tradition. You can be a part of the first University Day.

Oh. And cupcakes will be served. We have to have our priorities.

If this post isn’t exciting enough for you, here’s a video of monkeys riding dogs from the Alabama State Fair. Enjoy.
