Think you have what it takes to be apart of the UAB Blazerette Dance Team? Here’s your shot! The Sound of the Magic City Marching Band will be holding auditions on April 17, 2010 for the Blazerette Dance Team. The team will perform at all Home football games and will travel with the band to away games. The Dance Team also performs at pep rallies, band exhibitions,and community events. The Blazerettes are under the direction of the band which provides a Scholarship to all dancers and pay for their travel! You can’t get much better than that! Being a Blazerette is such a great opportunity to be able to showcase your talent! The chance to preform at the historic Legion Field while supporting the best team in the state, our UAB Blazers, is really something you don’t want to miss out on! Get your game day hair, make up, and big smiles out to the Rec Center on April 17 to show us whatcha got! Here are the details:

Blazerette Auditions

When? April 17, 2010

What time? Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. (Bring a Head Shot)

Where? UAB Rec Center (Exercise Room/Upstairs)

What do I need to wear? Dance costume, leotard and tights, or jazz pants and top. No baggie pants or t-shirts will be allowed. Performance quality Hair and Make-up

Eligibility: Double pirouette, Axel, Splits, High Kicks, Leap Combos, as well as learning and performing a short routine.
