UAB Blaze Productions Presents: Girl Talk

Myself, and a number of people have been working on this show for months. I’m so happy to finally announce that UAB’s Blaze Production Committee will be presenting Girl Talk on October 9 @ Club 1120. This is UAB’s first “Large Scale” show since 2006, and it’s going to be of epic proportions!
Tickets should go on sale tomorrow at the UAB Ticket office which is located in the Hill University Center. Ticket prices are $12 for students and $20 for general public. One thing to note is that we are only selling around 900 tickets for this show, no lie. The reason for this all comes down to 1120’s capacity which is, you guessed it, around 900 people. WE ANTICIPATE SELLING OUT, GET YOUR TICKET ASAP!
I can’t express to you enough how bad you need to be at this show, it’s going to be totally insane. Girl Talk has time and time again proved to have kickass performances that sell out super quick. This is the first time that UAB has collaborated with a local venue to bring a show like this to town, and I can assure you that it won’t be the last. The doors open at 9pm, and we’ll be partying all night long.
Along with Girl Talk, local MC Shaudi Fly will be getting the night started off right for us. If the name Shaudi Fly doesn’t ring a bell right away, follow that link to his MySpace and listen to the song “I Don’t Dance”, you probably have heard it twenty times on the radio. It was a big hit for him not to long ago.
Everything about this show screams awesomeness. I can’t wait.

I am THERE!! This is gonna turn the knob up to a dangerous degree of heat! I didn’t know who girl talk was until recently, but after watching that documentary Rex had(which you should post if legal) and listening to his stuff, I have to say I am a fan. Will these be available to buy online?
Unfortunantly not. We aren’t doing online ticket sales because we are only selling 900 tickets.
Hopefully the concert will be less of a clusterfuck than the onsale process. But, probably not.

Does anyone know what time the show will actually start? Is it a late show? I’ve got tix for another show that night that will probably end around 11:30ish.
Also would like to know what time GT is expected to go on.
