If you haven’t done so already, you need to take the time to head over to the Mervyn Sterne Library to check out the progress of the new renovations. I’m not sure when they will be done with the second phase, but I am truly impressed with the first. Take everything you know about the old library, the colors, the layout, the look & feel, etc – and throw that out the window. The new library is badass. There are new tables, new carpet, and a ton of new study desks. The cool thing about these desks is the fact that they are HUGE, are really wide, have a ton of plugs for your laptop, and even the chairs are extra comfortable. You could have your laptop and 3 books all spread out and still have plenty of room to write. It’s great!

New study tables however, were not the only cool new additions. The design of the place has been totally turned retro. It’s kind of like the person who designed Heritage Hall, and our mascot Blaze, got into a fight inside the library and after the dust settled the library was granted this awesome new look. You can see in the pictures below all the cool glass with Blaze breathing fire, as well as the ceilings with circular thingies and cool lights all over. It’skind of hard for me to describe, take a look at the pics for now,  and when you have time head over there to check it out for yourself.
