The Oscars come to UAB. Kind of.

Another day, another event for the UPC Films & Novelties Committee at UAB. I swear, they’re the hardest working kids in showbusiness.

Two Academy Award winning films. Two weeks. First up, the winner for Best Picture – Slumdog Millionaire. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet… it’s free. Right after that, check out Sean Penn in Milk, where he was the winner for Best Actor.  Milk hardly played in Birmingham (go figure), so this is your chance to catch it!

Slumdog

Friday,  March 20 – 8pm – HUC Alumni Auditorium -  Slumdog Millionaire

Saturday, March 21 – 8pm – HUC Alumni Auditorium -  Slumdog Millionaire

Wednesday, March 25 – 7pm – HUC Alumni Auditorium – Milk

Thursday, March 25 – 7pm – HUC Alumni Auditorium – Milk

Come out and support some fine cinema… and the students who work so hard to bring it to you!
