Season Opener Preview

The time is here. UAB football is finally starting. I know that I am ready for another fun and exciting football season and I can’t wait until we play FAU. Last year we played FAU for our Homecoming Game and beat them 56-29 and I hope that we can beat them again this year to kick off the football season right at Legion Field. Some players to watch out for are senior defensive end Bryant Turner, senior running back Justin Brooks, and junior safety Chase Daniel. This will be the third time meeting with the Owls in three seasons; they beat us away two seasons ago.  Also a big story is true freshman defensive end Connor Boyett starting against the Owls. He is said to have an amazing work ethic, let’s hope that translates to success on the field.

The game kicks off at 7 P.M. at Legion Field or you can listen to the game on 107.7 WUHT-FM.
