Rooster in the minipark!

There’s a cock in the minipark! And I’m not talking about the dude with socks, flip-flops, dual button up shirts, pleated khaki pants and sideways white visor! That’s right ladies and gentleman you’re not coming down off a bad trip there really is a rooster running around the minipark as I write this! Not sure if you’ve seen this terrifying beast yet but he’s currently parading around the minipark. Feathers all fluffed up mocking UAB and animal control with his strut and cackle.
The beast was first spotted a few days ago strutting his stuff around the minipark and immediately animal control was called. As you will see in the picture below AC did all it could to capture Foghorn however their feeble attempts failed to capture the elusive creature and the rooster remains king of his perch. The sudden appearance and violent dominance of the rooster in the minipark has struck students with some hard, pressing questions. Questions such as-
How did the barnyard creature end up in da ‘Ham?
Why UAB?
Why the minipark?
Is the rooster the reincarnated soul of a long gone UAB President?
Why won’t it let me pet it?
Can it’s talons really shred a man in half?
Well we can’t answer all of these questions but we can tell you this. The rooster seems here to stay, for at least a little while longer.
As students I feel like there is at least 3 things we can do during a crisis like this.
1. Post any pictures you have of Foghorn. You can’t defeat your enemy if you don’t know him!
2. Throw out some ideas on how to get rid of this barnyard bother!
3. Refer this site to your friends! We have knowledge and knowledge is power!

The first sighting that I heard of was this past Friday October 25th. I personally saw him yesterday. He was just chilling while 3 people were taking pictures of him only a few feet away, that fearless bastard lol
I am so glad that he still roams the minipark, he was about the best comic relief of my whole day! I think we need to adopt him as Blaze’s new side kick (as long as we can talk Blaze out of making some hot wings out of him)
I also think we need to name him, suggestions?
Its either:
Beauregard T. Rooster has come back to cheer us on in our first ever win against Southern Miss.
OR!
Southern Mississippi’s Mascot scoping out the place..in which we should catch the durn thing and have him cooked up for dinner at the tailgait!!

I heard about this rooster! I find the rooster kind of suspicious based on the fact that roosters don’t fly, so he either walked to the minipark or someone put him there.
I think we should get Garrison to officially pardon the rooster at the Southern Miss game, hence cementing his place in UAB lore.
So, someone in my sculpture class told me about this thing a couple of days ago and I thought it was just a random sighting. Didnt know he had taken up residence in the MiniPark and was becoming something of a celebrity… this is hilarious.
Hmm with all these speculations I’m having mixed feelings about him. On serious note, I wonder what has he been eating since Friday… maybe he has some friend pigeons at Al’s that save him some food haha

We should name the rooster after uab’s old mascot beauregard t rooster. Someone on blazertalk suggested it might be that long ago mascot cone to bring us luck for the game!
I just walked by the mini park and they had just caught our little friend! It was fun while it lasted!

I think they released it in Highland Park, because I definitely saw a rooster walking around near Rojo.

Find the rooster and let him run around the UAB campus every week before we have a game. He’s good luck- some kinda of strange spiritual phenomenon sent from God to lift the Southern Miss curse off the Blazers.
