Red Bull Play and Destroy is coming to the University of Alabama at Birmingham!  It is a head to head iPod battle where a mix of creativity and deep music collection are more important than one’s technical DJ skills.  The event will be at Tin Roof in Birmingham (2709 7^th Avenue South) on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 and will have NO COVER CHARGE!  Registration is at 9:00 PM and the competition will be at 10:00 PM.

One iPod will reign king in this Birmingham edition of Red Bull Play & Destroy where battle categories will range from “Best Road Trip Song” to “Best Club Anthem”.  Winners will walk away with a collection of tunes to take you to Panama City Beach for the ultimate Spring Break.

Eight (8) teams of UAB students armed with music selections will be pitted against one another in a single elimination bracket format and ONLY ONE will reign supreme!

Birmingham resident DJ Jimi Fritz and MC Gabe will be on site bringing some local flair through the mic as the night’s headliner for the event.
