MP3 Experiment / UAB Lecture Series Presents: Charlie Todd

UPDATE ON MP3 EXPERIMENT WITH VIDEO

This October, two great student organizations have teamed up to bring you two once in a lifetime events! Wednesday October 6th, The UAB Lecture Series and UPC Film’s & Novelties is bringing the founder of Improv Everywhere, Charlie Todd to UAB to speak about his new book Causing a Scene and to deliver what is sure to be an exciting afternoon out on the Green.

To start out, lets break down what exactly “Improv Everywhere” is all about. It was all started by Charlie Todd back in August of 2001 and has been staging crazy events ever since. If you have even seen any crazy videos where a huge group randomly freezes or breaks out in choreographed danced moves, chances are you were watching on of Charlie Todd’s crazy/random events in action.

Wouldn’t you love to take part in one? Of course you would! That’s why Charlie Todd created one just for UAB and all you need is an MP3 player to participate. The MP3 Experiment is an audio-guided event that will be informing you of everything to do. You may be asked things like: “Do a crazy dance,” “Give high fives to strangers” “Hug each other” etc.

Before October 6th, go visit this website: http://tinyurl.com/uabmp3 Here you will get all the information and a free download of the MP3 experiment audio track. YOU MUST VISIT THIS WEBSITE, DOWNLOAD THE MP3, AND READ ALL THR INSTRUCTION TO PARTICIPATE!!!! It’s going to be a blast! So make sure you come out and enjoy. This event will take place on the Green from 12:00PM-12: 45PM. Sorry to anyone who has class but if you want, feel free to still listen to the MP3 and be crazy and random in the classroom! (Maybe not the best idea but still could be funny haha) If you have any questions, stop the HUC 136 or leave a comment and I’ll personally give you an answer (or a least the best answer I can)

So whether or not you got to attend the MP3 Experiment, be sure to head over to the HUC Alumni Auditorium at 7:00PM that night to see Charlie Todd in person talking about his book and his love for doing what he does. He seems like a pretty nice and funny guy so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

So to recap: October 6th, MP3 Experiment at 12:00PM and Charle Todd Lecture at 7:00PM.

Visit this website for all the MP3 information: http://tinyurl.com/uabmp3
