Miss UAB Pageant 2009
If there is glitter on stage, it means one thing — the Miss UAB Pageant is here.
Nineteen of the brightest, most sophisticated and beautiful UAB women are set to take the stage on Thursday, October 8 at 7pm in the Alys Stephens Center. Tickets are FREE for UAB students and $5 for everyone else.
What’s at stake? Flowers, a tiara, a sash and a lot of scholarship money. UAB will award $4,600 in scholarships to the women. Oh yeah, and the newly crowned Miss UAB will go on to represent UAB at the Miss Alabama Pageant held each June.
The current reigning Miss UAB, Ashley Davis, has made appearances all over Birmingham and Jefferson County, participating in meet-and-greets, parades and benefits (and she happens to be beyond beautiful, intelligent and composed!).
The current reigning Miss Alabama, Hoover’s Liz Cochran, will serve as the emcee for the pageant.
