It’s time to VOTE for USGA Peeps.
I’m sure that you, much like myself, have been bombarded by Facebook messages this morning from various candidates running for USGA. Well, I’m here to add to the bombardment! If you are reading this and you have yet to vote, CLICK HERE to be taken to the USGA vote page. It’s stupidly simple to vote, all you have to do is log in with your Blazer ID and then click the names of the candidates that you would like to vote for. Some of the people that are running you may not know, if this is the case, simply skip this particular vote. If you don’t want to skip it, just pick the person with the coolest name lol. (Disclaimer: actually don’t do that it’s very irresponsible) If you do not have computer access at home, or you are just to lazy to vote now, there will be polling locations all over campus. (HUC, RLC, Commons, BEC, etc). Voting will go on all day today and tomorrow. You have no excuse not to vote!
As far as Presidential candidates go, I hope you read my interview of the presidential candidates! It was pretty cool.
Also, if you feel like you cannot yet make an educated decision on which people to chose for which office, pick up a copy of the Kaleidoscope which came out Tuesday. They have a really good write up in there on all executive positions. (I’ll allow you to read the K-Scope even though they are iloveuab.com’s Arch-nemesis! Muhaha) You can check out the candidate reviews online also! K-Scope USGA Presidential Candidate Interviews
UPDATE: Look’s like I am wrong, there is no way to obstain from voting if you do not know who to vote for. I guess you are going to have to follow my “who has the coolest name” method for now. -Stone
UPDATE #2: It seems you CAN actually obstain from voting, simly choose no answers and then click next. My bad lol. (really RBC’s bad)

I went out and voted today, but I have one major problem with the system. There is no way to abstain from voting for anyone. I am not saying I had a problem with anyone on the ballot; however, I would like to be able to abstain if say there is only one person running for a position and I do not believe that person to be a sound candidate. That should be a right for a voter to have.
I logged in and was able to abstain in more than one vote. Just don’t select anyone and click next. It even told me that I abstained, and that the ones I voted in counted.
Oh lord! Let me correct myself again lol
I must have been wrong, even the people running the poles said you couldn’t abstain. I think a few of us got confused.
