Do you think you can build a house? It’s time for you and your favorite UAB organization to show it.

UAB Habitat for Humanity if officially accepting organization to compete in the second annual Gingerbread House Building Competition! The event, to be held November 11, will raise funds to donate to Habitat for Humanity, International. Deadline for registration is Saturday, October 31.

Teams will have a maximum of 5 members and have 45 minutes to complete their gingerbread house. Children of people who have recently bought Habitat homes will be here to judge the houses, and the top three teams will win prizes! The entry fee is $25 per team and you can either supply your own gingerbread materials, or buy a kit for $10. The deadline for entering teams is October 31, 2009.
WHEN: 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2009

WHERE: Blazer Hall RLC

WHY: All proceeds of the event will go to Habitat for Humanity International to promote its efforts to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness around the world.
