The University Programs Council’s (UPC) Films and Novelties committee will be presenting Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides for FREE with two chances to watch.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.  In this installment, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) has failed to rescue his first mate in London and is brought before King George II.  King George II wants Jack to guide the expedition to the Fountain of Youth before the Spanish can locate it.  Heading the expedition is Jack’s old enemy, Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush).  Captain Jack Sparrow is joined by Angelica (Penelope Cruz) in a search for the Fountain of Youth.  During this search, Captain Jack Sparrow and crew confront the infamous pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane).  Will Jack find a way out of Blackbeard’s control?  Will Jack regain control over the Black Pearl?  Come watch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to find out!

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be shown on Friday, August 26 at 8:00 PM on the UAB Campus Green (Rain Location: UAB Hulsey Recital Hall) and also on Saturday, August 27 at 8:00 PM in the HUC Alumni Auditorium.  Don’t forget it’s FREE!
