Fall 2009 Into The Streets

This is a guest post by Ayushi Amin who is a member of the Leadership and Service Council. Thanks Ayushi.

Give back to the community! Volunteer with “Into the Streets” at different sites like Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Greater Birmingham Humane Society, and various others all throughout the Birmingham area. “Into the Streets” is a day where the entire campus comes together to give back to the community. The goal is to expose students to volunteerism and to help students get involved on campus.

Everyone will meet at the HUC concourse at 8 AM this Saturday (Oct 10th) to sign up for sites. Then, from there all the groups will go to various sites all throughout the Birmingham area, and volunteer until noon.

At noon, everyone will head back to the mini park for free lunch and a t-shirt!!! Come join us as we make a difference. Feel free to bring your UAB friends along as well
