CAS Interdisciplinary Innovation Forums: Cyber Security

An Interdisciplinary Innovation Forum will be held on July 31, 2012 at the UAB Alumni House at 1:00 PM.  The program will last approximately an hour and a half and a reception will be held at 12:30 PM.  The goal of the forum is to focus on the world’s biggest problems where interdisciplinary innovations will have a big impact.  The theme for this forum is “Cyber Security.”  At the forum, external speakers and faculty members will speak and make short presentations on new developments technology.

The topics and speakers include:

Mrs. Rosemary Wenchel, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity Coordination, Department of Homeland Security

Col. John Grimes, J.D., UAB, Director of Intelligence Analytics:  Drones, Digits, and Dollar$; Intelligence Analytics in the Cyber Age

Gary Warner, Director of Research in Computer Forensics :Fighting Crime with UAB Technology
