BSAC strives to educate and make the Blazer and Birmingham community aware of Black America, African American History, and culture through fun and interactive events.The committee prides itself on  enhancing the collegiate experience by exposing the diversity of the African American culture. BSAC promotes this purpose with social events, including,  but not limited to, variouos expos, erlcome back Umoja, Kwanzaa, forums, contests, and Back to School  BBQ. BSAC also coordinates Black History Month events at UAB to celebrate the heritage and accomplishments in Black History. BSAC emphasizes the development of black leaders and it is a great way for YOU to become one.
