One of my hobbies is affiliate marketing, or for the common man, making money on the Internet. Usually I am pretty unsuccessful, but every now and again I will find some sneaky way to make a buck and rake in some cash. Guess what, today is one of those days.

I am sure that you have noticed while browsing Facebook that there are tons and tons of advertisements. If you will remember, these have not always been around. Let me show you what I’m talking about so there is no confusion.Now, the ads that you see are usually quite different from the ones that I see. For example; if I was single on Facebook, I would be bombarded with gorgeous women ads trying to get me to sign up for dating sites. Everyone sees somewhat different ads because the ads are extremely targeted to your demographic. If you have ever wondered why the ads always seem to know what music you like, well, it’s because you have told them right there on your Facebook profile!

There are people making TONS of money with Facebook, thousands of dollars a day. Dating sites, and dieting products (new years resolutions!) do very well, as does anything really. Ebay, Netflix, Posters, Ringtones, Music, just whatever. There are 150 million Facebook users, they all have money and are ready to spend it. So how do we play into this?

Well, Facebook’s advertising platform (Facebook Ads) is open for anyone to use, as long as you are willing to spend some money. The cool thing about today though is that a bunch of free redemption codes and coupons  have shown up on the Internet. These codes can be “redeemed” for free cash to use with the Facebook ads platform. All you have to do is follow these instructions: (copied from another site, source listed below)

1) Create a facebook account if you do not have one already.
2) Log in to your facebook account, then click the “Advertising” link from the bottom of the page.  Create an ad and later you’ll able to change the daily budget and CPC.  You’ll need a credit card here in order to confirm your account, but the charge here is only to confirm space on your account; any temporary hold will be reversed and your advertising will draw from your coupons completely before charging your card.
3) After creating the advertising account and getting the “Congratulations Message”, click “Billing” > Click “Funding Sources” > Click “Enter Coupon Code”
4) Enter these coupon codes one at a time.  Enter a coupon and wait for success message, then enter another.

5) Go to http://www.new.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=24249628048
6) Click “Go to Application” > Click “Allow”
7) Submit your brief profile info. Use the same email address that you used for your facebook account.
Check the email for coupon code.
9) Enter the coupon to your advertising account following the same step as previous (Another $100 to take your total to $350).

I have verified that all but one of these codes work (the first one I think), totally up for 325$ in free money to advertise with. Most of the codes, probably $150 worth, run out at the end of the month so spend it while you can. When you start advertising the free money will be diminished first and then your credit card will take over. So if you want you can stop spending just shy of the free money you have gotten and you will have done a ton of promotion for what ever it is that you may want to promote and it will not have cost you a dime.

So, now that you have all this free cash, what do you do with it? Well, promote whatever you want. I will most likely try some dating and weight loss offers, as I said earlier they are making some money. But really you can promote anything with a website. Your church group, your personal blog, hell, you could send all the free traffic to www.google.com just for the hell of it. Its totally up to you.

Most of the people that promote stuff on Facebook, are signed up with affiliate companies such as Affiliate.com, Convert2Media, and Hydramedia. At these sites you can find all kinds of stuff to promote. Ringtones, Dating offers, Weight Loss, anything and everything for sure.

I don’t care what you do with the free cash, enjoy it if you can figure the system out.
