The City of Birmingham, the American Red Cross and Jefferson County EMA will open a Warming Station tonight for area citizens needing a warm place to sleep during these super cold nights.

Andrew Stone of Wedowee and Claire Sands of Mobile were named Mr. and Ms. UAB for 2009 during UAB’s Homecoming game festivities Saturday, Nov 7 at Legion Field.

UAB Habitat for Humanity if officially accepting organization to compete in the second annual Gingerbread House Building Competition! The event, to be held November 11, will raise funds to donate to Habitat for Humanity, International. Deadline for registration is Saturday, October 31.
