In this town, we have all seen our share of clubs and venues come and go. Unfortunately on this dreary Monday morning, I am sad to report that Cave 9 has closed.
The dance music scene in Birmingham is really taking off these days. While one can go to almost any club and hear hip hop, some of us want to get away from your usual top 40 and shake it to something different!
So, in my efforts to write more about music, since I am the “music and culture” writer, I’ve decided to give you an idea of my top 5 favorite albums at the moment.
Last year, the festival expanded to a 2-day festival in Bicentennial Park, Miami, and few thought this year would be able to top the 10-year anniversary lineup. UMF’s 2009 lineup comes damn close.
So sit back, relax and get some ear plugs cause the 5 WORST songs of 2008 are coming at ya!
So, the Bonnaroo 2009 lineup is official, and I’m officially ecstatic. In my opinion, this has been the best lineup since 2006, solid from top to bottom, with more acts to be added!
You may not agree that these are the top 5 Super Bowl Commercials, but I don’t care. Enjoy!
It looks like Birmingham’s Emo scene is once again going to get its fill in May. I just read over at the Birmingham Entertainment section of Al.com written by Matt Cuthbert, that Death Cab for Cutie is returning to Birmingham on May 5th this year.
Whether or not you are a fan of Nine Inch Nails, you have to respect them. Back in May they released their album called “The Slip” absolutely free, which I think is absolutely badass. Furthermore…
