UAB vs. North Carolina Tar Heels!

UAB vs. North Carolina Tar Heels!

That’s right people! Tomorrow! (Tuesday March 23rd) UAB will take on the reigning NCAA National Champions the North Carolina Tar Heels AT HOME!

The Blazers have got the match -up because of the their 1st and 2nd round thrashing of Coastal-Carolina and North Carolina State in the NIT Tournment. As it stands this game is already a SELL OUT!
But for YOU the UAB student there is still a way to get into the game. The following post was taken directly from the Gang Green Facebook group-

STUDENT TICKET INFO: On Tuesday, 3/23/10, come to Bartow Arena starting at 8 AM to pre-swipe your student ID and get a number and a wristband. You can come anytime during the morning or afternoon, but demand for this game will be high, so coming earlier is always better than coming later. This set up is virtually the… exact same as the one we did a few weeks ago for the Memphis game, so keep that in mind.
ONE TICKET PER PERSON PER STUDENT ID. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE THE WRISTBAND. YOUR STUDENT ID MUST SHOW THAT YOU ARE A VALID, FULL-TIME STUDENT.
STUDENTS: Line up at 8AM tomorrow to get your wristband! HAVE YOUR STUDENT ID READY!!! It will be similar to the way we did things for the Memphis camp-out. You’ll get a #, then wristband. Line up to get in the door Tuesday night begins at 5:30PM(at the 6th Ave entrance) according to number. Wear something green…or better yet, paint up! GO BLAZERS!

If you thought the Memphis game was insane you don’t even know! Tomorrow is going to be hands down the biggest game we’ve had in Bartow this year. Think of it like USC or LSU coming to Legion Field and playing our football team.

And although this game is already huge if we win it UAB gets to advance to New York for the NIT Final 4!!!!

I guess it’s kinda like USC or LSU coming to Legion Field, except that Bartow is actually accessible to students and it doesn’t scare me to go watch a game. If USC or LSU played our football team, Legion Field wouldn’t sell out.

  • Troy says:

USC and LSU might sell out Legion Field, but the only two teams that 100% would are AU and UA (vs UAB)and Lord knows that those games will never be played.
The UNC game is the biggest home game in UAB history it will be very loud in there tonight.
