Pretty Lights @ Sloss Furnace

This is a guest post by Kathryn Thagard. She’s gunna do some music writing for us which we desperately need!

Are you bummed about Spring Break being over? Don’t be! On March 27th, Pretty Lights will be performing at Sloss Furnace. Opening for Pretty Lights will be Two-Fresh and White Noise. It will be the perfect post-spring break pick-me-up.

Pretty Lights is the ultimate electronic music band. The band consists of two Colorado natives: music producer, Derek Vincent Smith, and drummer, Cory Eberhand. The band has accomplished being download 500,000 times through their three released albums: Taking Up Your Precious Time, Filling Up the City Skies, and Passing Behind Your Eyes (All albums can be downloaded from the Pretty Lights website for FREE!). While performing live shows, they bring raw energy with digital sampling and heavy drum beats. Pretty Lights sends their audience into a dance frenzy, and fills their music venues with cutting-edge music high-energy (this is only to be expected while they perform at Sloss).

The event at Sloss Furnace will be nothing but good fun, and exhilarating music.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster or can be purchased at the Bottletree Café for $20. The concert is for ages sixteen and up, and will begin at 8:00pm. The concert will be at Sloss Furnace (20 32nd Street North).

Two Fresh is opening for Pretty Lights.

For anyone who caught the Disco Biscuits (a trance-fusion electronica rock band from Philly) in Tuscaloosa in the fall, it’s the band who opened for them. Two Fresh also co-billed Zydeco last month with Big Gigantic. If you haven’t checked out these 3 artists, you definitely should!
