If you have ever driven down Hwy 78 into walker county, then you know about the mini Bingo Las Vegas that they have out there. I mean, it’s crazy, they have over 20 bingo halls all lined up one after the other down a little stretch of 78. If you and your Grandmother feel like a rousing game of Bingo, then you should check out the popular “Castle Bingo” or “Gorilla Bingo” all charity bingo halls of course (HA).

You might have heard about these bingo halls recently. Churches are really pissed that they even exist, and I actually don’t really know what they are doing to avoid being shut down all together. So, as I’m sure you know, once you piss off enough people (especially Christians) then you are bound for trouble. Recently some of the bingo halls have been shut down (or cited atleast) for breaking fire code, but the battle doesn’t end there. Even more recently, in December, a judge ordered that the bingo halls turn over information about the electronic machines that they use  in the bingo halls. This however, much like the fire code citations, was met with a ton of legal recourse and out crys from the Bingo halls (and probably feigning gamblers).

Today, however, marks a new day in the battle for Bingo. The recent rains that have swept across Alabama have caused some flash flooding, and guess what?! That’s right! Some of the Bingo Halls were flooded! Its seems that not only have these Bingo Halls pissed off a lot of people, but God himself! What will the next move in the great Walker County Bingo Hall Wars be? Only time will tell!
