Well well…what do we have here. It looks like my prayers have finally been answered. Beta Fest 2009 is Birmingham’s first Electronic Music Festival…kinda. They say it best themselves:

BETA FEST 2009 is a different kind of music festival, showcasing the best Independent music from the hottest Indie Rock, Electronic Bands and DJs from around the world & right here in Alabama.

I’m pretty stoked about this event. It’s going to be held at Sloss Furnace which is pretty awesome because we all know that place is scary as shit. The festival is taking place this month July 25th, which is a Saturday. The party kicks off at Noon, so it looks like there may be a full 12 hours of music. Awesomeness. Anyways, the line up is pretty decent. It’s for damn sure no Ultra Music Festival, but it’s definitely a great start. Oh snap, it looks like there are two stages! Dead City Stages better look out!

On the BETA stage you can see Ghostland Observatory, VHS or Beta, and Treasure Fingers, as well as a slew of other artists.
